Nursery theme/ideas

We have been working on ideas for the nursery, we know that we don't want Olivia's room to be super girly and we do want it to have a western theme. So I have found some bedding that I really like and it's really boy, so Mom and I are going to mimic this bedding and give it a girly twist.

Here is a picture of the original bedding I found...
Now to girly it up a bit, everywhere you see the cowboys on horses I am going to replace it with this fabric:

We are going to replace a lot of the dark brown with red and blue so it's not so dark looking, here are some other patterns I want to include somehow:

I have some rustic metals stars left over from my bathroom mirror project we are going to put on the wall above her crib. Here is an example of the stars from my bathroom mirror (ignore the big circle one in the middle):

Here are a few of the signs we have already gotten for her room, we just need to hang them up:

And here is the light switch cover and wall cover we got for her room:
(sorry not sure why this one is sideways).

We already have the wall plates up and a horseshoe rack hanging by the door:

That's all I have for now, as soon as we get more done I will post an update :).

26 weeks

Wow the last few weeks have really gotten away from me. I was finishing up a big project for work before my team left for Convention in Atlantis, and once they all left for Convention I have been holding down the fort here in my dept. Jared and I went out of town for the weekend the weekend before last. It was nice going up to the Lake house for the weekend with some close friends and being able to see our friends and family up in Madill/Kingston!

I got an update today telling me this was my last week in my 2nd trimester... holy cow this trimester has gone by sooo quick! I know the next 3 months will go by even faster! I have my 27 week check up next Monday (25th), we are doing my glucose test and a cervical exam. After this appointment I will start going to the Dr. every other week. :) Hopefully we will have another sonogram soon so we can get some updated pictures of our little girl and have a better idea of how big she really is.

A few weeks ago we bought Olivia her first pair of crocs... check out the size difference b/w her Daddy's crocs and hers! Poor girl, she has no chance of having normal size feet! I have big feet for a girl (size 10-11) and her Daddy has ginormous feet! ;)

How far along? 26 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss:  -10 lbs  - in the last few weeks I have gained back 5 lbs, will get an official weight on the 25th.
Maternity clothes? some, was able to use and enjoy my maternity bathing suit at the lake!
Stretch marks? No new ones ;)
Sleep: Sleep is good, def making more bathroom trips in the middle of the night
Best moment this week: Jared and I were playing Olivia music the other morning and she started squirming around.
Miss Anything? being summer floating in the lake w/o a drink in my hand just isn't right ;)
Movement: LOTS! lately she has some part of her body she likes to push right by my belly button.
Food cravings: milk
Anything making you queasy or sick: nothing really
Have you started to show yet: a little more still don't have a real baby bump yet. Jared's Uncle told me last night that I definitely don't look 6 months prego, he said more like 4 months :) that made me feel good!
Gender: GIRL!!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! although lately tears seem to be ready to sprout at any minute.
Looking forward to: going back to the lake house as much as possible this summer! :)

So Jared went shopping the other day at Bass Pro for himself and he came out with 1 thing for himself and all of this for Olivia... She definitely has Daddy wrapped around her little finger already! ;)
